Ron Taylor’s own experience with pain led him to CBD oil — and to the start of his own business
Ron Taylor’s personal experiences — including terrific back pain from an injury — led him to CBD and the start of a new business located in Fort Mitchell.
Taylor, 64, is a father and grandfather who led an active life, playing competitive tennis, running 5 miles a day 5 days a week. He loved competitive sports and pushed himself every day.
Then, one day in 1999, he hit a 7-iron on a par 3 at Traditions Golf Club and fell to the ground. He had his first interbody fusion in his L4 vertebrae, which resulted in ‘drop foot.’ He had to stop playing tennis and could no longer run.
In 2016 he suffered another fall and had to undergo a TLIF, fusing his vertebrae together.
His regimen of pain pills began.
Another fall in 2018 led to five days in the hospital with blood clots and more pills. He had two epidurals with no relief for the back pain, and with the pills, epidurals, and ice, he saw no relief in sight.
Then he was introduced to CBD and his life changed. He was pain-free and was able to return to part of his old life.
CBD (cannabidiol) is made by extracting the CBD from the cannabis plant. It is gaining popularity in the health and wellness world, backed by some scientific studies confirming it can help treat a variety of ailments like chronic pain and anxiety.
“I made the decision to start CBD 3000 so I could help other people with pain relief, anxiety, insomnia, depression, and so much more,” he said.
The store, which he runs with his son Jeff, is at 2641 Crescent Springs Pike.
It offers three products, 3000mg Berry CBD oil, 1500mg Peppermint CBD oil, and 200 mg CBD balm for external use.
“Our products are locally grown here in the Bluegrass State and are 3rd-Party quality tested,” he says. “We believe in our products and offer a two-week guarantee on both oils. We have sold over 450 units in just a few short months.”
Son Jeff was in the restaurant business for several years and understands customer service. He handles the delivery service and free in-home consultations.
